Gwebindlala

The Gwebindlala programme was implemented by The Mvula Trust from 2003 to 2005 in the Eastern Cape, with funding from the EU. This was a comprehensive livelihoods programme, incorporating projects such as rainwater harvesting, sheep rearing and shearing, building of schools, provision of infrastructure, etc. In particular, the programme focused on partnerships between government and civil society to create jobs, promote shared growth and build social capital and development
