We ensure that water services institutions at the local level have access to support, particularly where they lack sufficient capacity, expertise or resources to fulfil all the functions necessary for sustainability.

In particular, we assist community-based Water Services Providers to access maintenance, institutional and social development (ISD) and technical mentoring support. We also assist local government to access specialist support for their authority functions. This process involves addressing the following questions through participatory sessions:

• What are the support requirements to ensure sustainability?
• Who can best provide this support?
• How can support be accessed in a cost-efficient manner?
